Weekend Wrap Up

Father'd Day, Arlington Race Track, Weekend plans, making friends as an adult
Happy Monday!

This weekend was full of fun, family, friends, and too much sun! On Saturday, we went to the Custard's Last Stand Fest in Evanston and spent some time with new friends that we met through J's school. Doesn't it feel like dating when making new friends as an adult? You're all insecure, like, "Do I wait for her to call me?" "Do I ask for a second (play) date?" Isn't it weird how things change? In elementary school, if you're assigned to the same class, done deal, you're friends. As an adult, you have to really mesh - especially if you're parents. If you don't have similar parenting styles, it's usually a short lived friendship.

On Sunday, we went to the track for our annual Father's Day event. The H lost every race, by the way. It was fun though, all of our family came; it was a great time.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. You hold the power to teach your children how a woman should be treated and how a man should act. It's a big job, and you don't get the credit that you deserve. And, a special father's day wish to my husband. He's a teacher and spends all summer with our son. He is supportive and a great role model for out LO. We're both lucky to have him. Here are some pictures from our Father's Day. I hope you had a good one too.
